1. The Twenty - Ninth Gems & Jade Sales of the Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Limited will be held from the 20th to 24th August 2010 at the Myanmar Gems Pavilion, Kaba Aye Pagoda Road , Yangon according to the following schedules :
(a) Viewing and examination by buyers from the 20th to 22nd August 2010 ;
(b)Selling by Bargain and Auction Systems from the 23th to 24th August 2010.
2. Starting from the 15th August 2010 potential buyers are requested to register with a fee of Euro ( 20 ) for foreigners and Kyat ( 10,000 ) for Myanmar Citizens.
3. From the 27th July 2010 to 9th August 2010, private gems and jade enterpreneurs are requested to come and submit the gems , jade and other items they wish to sell.
4. A service charge of ( 0.4 ) percent will be levied on these items. In addition , a sales commission of (1) percent for foreign exchange transactions and (3) percent for Myanmar Kyat transactions will be charged, the amounts to be paid to the Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Limited. Furthermore , the buyer will need to pay tax according to the Myanmar Gems Rules and Laws issued by the Ministry of Mines.
5. We would like to announce that Rough Ruby from Mogok, weighing ( 33.50 ) carats, clear , flawless, transparent and of a red colour, starting price Kyat ( 150 )million will be on sale. Another Rough Ruby from Mogok, weighing (76.00 )carats, flawless, glass texture, light pigeon blood colour, the reserved price Kyat ( 100 )million. A Rough Sapphire from Mogok, weighing ( 366.80 )carats, wax texture, velvet blue colour, star or good cabochon quantity, starting price Kyat ( 100 )million will be on sale. Magnificant Pink Tourmaline (Rubellite) Crystals with quartz and feldspar in matrix weighing (19)kilogram , the starting price Euro (5)million .
